Cross-Validation FCE
We are the state of science in this field. The methods and analysis of hand strength tests and lifting assessments performed the Cross-Validation FCE. They are are taken directly from peer-reviewed research the owners of this site. These methods are the same as the FCE that what was formerly known as the XRTS model which is no longer sold or supported by Bardavon Health Innovations. We take out the guesswork for attorneys, physicians, case managers, employers, and adjusters in making legally-defensible case management decisions.
The Field’s Most Objective Lifting Assessment
The lever arm depicted in this image is used in our lifting evaluation. The “state of the art” in traditional FCEs uses the “visual estimation of effort” to classify validity of effort during their lifting evaluations. See the published studies on this site for information pertaining to this “art.”
The lifting assessment in our FCE consists of Baseline lifts of unmarked steel bars, the weight of which might be estimated with relative accuracy. “Maximum lifting capacities” during this part of the test are based on the client’s indication that a “maximum safe level” of weight has been reached. Baseline lifting results are then compared to the corresponding lifts on the lever arm. Then calculations are performed to determine if the variance of the corresponding lifts are within acceptable parameters. The odds of guessing workloads on this device with sufficient accuracy to defeat the purpose of the lever arm are no higher than 1.5%.
The Field’s Most Objective Hand Strength Test
Our hand strength test has been shown to be 99.5% accurate in classifying validity of effort in a study published in the Journal of Hand Therapy. The methods of the past have failed to classify effort accurately because they failed to take into account the biofeedback loop in the hands that facilitates "successful" feigning of weakness. Simply put, the hands feel and perform precisely.
Our Hand Strength Assessment approach to defeating this biofeedback loop involves a simple concept. It is a distraction-based testing method that involves administering trials that require simultaneous testing of both hands, in addition to the standard unilateral grip and pinch measurements.
Consulting Services
.When you have an FCE that has had an averse affect on your client's interest, we will provide you with the information required to successfully challenge the results of the test. We offer four options to mount such a challenge:
- An analysis of the results with the areas being challenged highlighted and the rationale for the challenge.
- A well-organized list of interrogatories to use when taking legal testimony.
- A combination of these services.
- A highly-organized and tactically ordered sequence of interrogatories for attorneys who are preparing to take legal testimony related to an FCE.
These services will be provided at a fixed rate.
